Can teenagers unplug for 36 hours?

Incomunicado

Early tomorrow morning we depart for Lake Atlitlan for a weekend that finds us staying in an EcoLodge, visiting an organic coffee farm, a weaving co-op, a community of many artists and painters, of hiking into the rain forest, extreme zip lining over the lake and in tree tops scattered with monkeys, exotic birds and other animals unknown to parts of the Bluegrass.  No internet connection here, so we will be incommunicado from Saturday morning until Sunday evening.  Quite a challenge for 11 teenagers accustomed to life with all things digital.  Wish us luck...Las dos Senoras...

  1. Being at Lake Atitlan was probably the best part of this entire trip even though everything has been great as well. We stayed in an Ecolodge where there was hot water!!! I was late to breakfast partly because I overslept but also because I was taking advantage of the hot water. I cannot describe how happy I was when I was in the shower because it was first time in a week that I had hot water when I showered. Another thing that I really enjoyed was the zip lines. We went on seven or eight zip lines and had a great view of the lake. This weekend has just been great because during the week I feel that we are always doing something and this weekend getaway allowed us to relax, get loose, and just enjoy ourselves. Thank you Senoras and Lencho!!
